Let’s Not Forget Haiti…

When there is a disaster in our world, (thankfully) many  people rush to aid those affected.   Maybe we’re even one of those beautiful people who help.  Then we hear about it in the news for a few days, maybe even a few weeks after the devastation occurs.  But then what?

Usually, we don’t hear too much more, we forget and move on with our own lives.  Unfortunately, the problems aren’t over, especially in a place like Haiti.

Last year, an earthquake devastated this small Caribbean country.  They received quite a bit of aid and they’ve done remarkable things to get their country back in order but they’re not there yet.  They still need help.

But, what can you do?  Willa Shalit, Heart of Haiti and Macy’s have the answer!  Local artisans have made beautiful items from recycled materials.  Green, giving, and gorgeous…you can’t go wrong.

Check out this cool watermelon bowl for only $16.  And there’s a pineapple one too (also $16).  Wouldn’t they just be great at your summer bash?  Or why wait; these cute bowls would add a warm touch to your wintry days!

Oh, you want something more fun?  Check out this adorable watermelon pendant (also, only $16)!

Whoa, a little too much fun for you – then settle back with some amazing ironworks.  There are some great bowls and cool napkin rings.  These are a little more than $16 but so worth it.

I’m going for that pineapple bowl.  Our house could use a splash of color with all this snow!  Please don’t forget Haiti.  Click here to make your home and Haiti even more beautiful.

I was selected for this very special “CleverHaiti” opportunity by Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity. All opinions are my own.
