Don’t Miss These Top Five in Barcelona

This is my last post about Barcelona, I swear. Although we only spent 48 hours there, we saw so much and I feel like my other posts reflected that – mainly, in the fact they were soo long!

So, I wanted to break down for you the top five things we saw there. If you only have a short amount of time in Barcelona, here’s what I suggest you do:

1. See Gaudi

Gaudi is so prevalent in Barcelona. You can’t visit without seeing at least one of his works. Visiting Sagrada Familia is the obvious one. It’s the biggest and most extravagant. It’s like the Louvre in Paris.

If you’re more of an outside person, go for Park Guell. If you like the less obvious, check out Casa Batilo or Casa Mila. Whichever you choose, you can’t go wrong – they are all beautiful.

2. La Rambla and Boqueria Market

This is the busiest street in Barcelona. It’s a scene. You have to check it out. Grab a fruit drink and take a quick (or long) stroll through Boqueria Market.

3. Hop on Hop Off Bus

Yes, take the bus! Get the two day pass, it’s a better value. Take advantage of finding our some cool history, seeing the sights, all while enjoying the amazing sun and breezy weather. You must sit on top though!

4. Olympic Area

Be sure to see this but don’t just visit the stadium. Tour around the grounds. The fountains are amazing and the views spectacular. Try to go at sunset – you can’t beat the way the colors reflect off the water and backgrounds.

5. Tragaluz

Please have dinner at Tragaluz. I have no affiliation with them but it’s so worth it. The food is local, fresh, and tasty. The atmosphere is fun, kind of trendy but relaxed and a portion of the roof opens to allow for cool seating. Even though we didn’t sit under the open area, we still enjoyed it.

Okay, those are my top five. If you try any of them – please come back and let me know what you thought! Either way, you’re going to love Barcelona!
