For our quick trip to Nashville, we stayed at the Hampton Inn – downtown Nashville. The hotel is only about 15-20 minutes from the airport, which is a $25 cab fare.
The hotel is centrally located. It is a block away from the Country Music Hall of Fame and Walk of Fame. And, only a few blocks away from the waterfront area, Broadway (the main music/club street), and Printer’s Alley.
They are currently building Music City so there is a lot of construction around the hotel but that did not bother us during our stay. It will though, put the hotel in an even better location situation.
Our flight got in pretty early but the hotel was able to accommodate us and we even took advantage of the free breakfast that was still available.
The room was just like every Hampton Inn, which is nice. The extra luxury I liked about this hotel is they ALWAYS had lemonade and bottles of water available. That was a nice touch.
Here’s what I loved:
- friendly service
- early check-in
- free water
- great location
- free breakfast
- nice room
- extra big breakfast area
- nice lobby area with a fireplace
Here’s what I didn’t love:
- nothing 🙂
Have you stayed in Nashville?
PS – When we were there, it was the same weekend Shaun White had his “incident” at a Nashville hotel. Luckily it wasn’t at the Hampton Inn 🙂
